Leadership Roles

When COVID-19 hit, I saw rural families forced to choose between education and survival, with many sending their children to work abroad, particularly to the Middle East. This reality inspired me to start Book Space, an initiative that connected local bookstores with students through online seminars. We reached 500 students from struggling communities, offering them a platform to share their stories, connect, and support each other during a time of crisis.

In addition to leading this initiative, I also co-founded a BYLC Capstone-project that turned a bus into a mobile classroom for slum communities, showing me firsthand how creative, unconventional solutions can create educational opportunities in underserved areas. As I travel across Bangladesh for research from urban hubs to coastal villages.I continue to witness the same patterns: girls often miss school during the monsoon season while their brothers attend, and families cannot imagine their daughters pursuing careers beyond teaching or medicine. These experiences fuel my passion to create inclusive and accessible educational opportunities for all.

I’ve also played leadership roles in various science and cultural clubs from my school days through my undergraduate years. These experiences allowed me to organize events, foster community engagement, and develop essential leadership and teamwork skills that continue to shape my work today.

Capacity Building

Intern Training & Monitoring at YSSE

As a Management Trainee, I led training sessions for interns, helping them develop key skills in communication, recruitment, and program management. I also monitored their performance, ensuring that their work aligned with the organization’s standards and provided ongoing support to ensure their success.

Teacher Training & Support:

Worked directly with community teachers to enhance their teaching and learning strategies. I conducted one-on-one sessions, focusing on developing interactive, student-centered pedagogies, and supporting teachers in using new techniques and resources to better engage their students

Research-Based Training for Enumerators & Research Assistants

I provided specialized training to enumerators and research assistants, equipping them with the skills needed to collect data effectively and efficiently. I focused on ensuring they understood the research methodology, ethical considerations, and the importance of accurate data collection in research studies.

Empowering Educators

I empowered teachers to view themselves as leaders in the classroom, fostering a more inclusive and engaging learning environment. This helped teachers gain confidence in their teaching abilities and implement best practices for student success.
